Business Hazardous Waste

Business Hazardous Waste are corrosive, toxic, reactive, or flammable materials that are illegal to put in the trash or pour down storm drains, sewers, or on the ground.

Such waste products, if carelessly managed, can and frequently do, create environmental and public health hazards.

Businesses that generate less than 220 pounds or 27 gallons of hazardous waste per month may be eligible to use the"Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator" (CESQG) program.

Businesses can transport a maximum of 15 gallons or 125 pounds per trip.

Any CESQG, and any resident, can transport (legally) up to 55 gallons at a time to an oil recycling collection site where they have pre-arranged for the delivery. This only makes sense where there is a “wand” and pump at the receiving site. Please call before you go to any recycling location.
